Time Warp

I forgot my password to my blog!  Either it’s been an extraordinarily long time since I last blogged or I’m having major memory problems. I’m not happy about either of those choices.

First off, “they” say you should use different passwords for different sites.  So I’ve obeyed “them” and I have created a fine variety of passwords. Which I cannot remember. Who could remember all of these passwords? It’s not just passwords for my blog and my e-mail and sites I shop on.  Oh no.  There are passwords for my work e-mail and programs, too.  And, just for the fun of it, some of those make me change my password every few months and will not let me use a password I’ve ever used before!

Second, I want an explanation about this time thing.  When I was a kid, summer lasted forever.  There were oodles of days for playing outside, going to the park, swimming at the lake, walking the dog, even lying in the sun. Time moved at a reasonable speed, giving me plenty of opportunity for writing stories, reading books, playing horses.  When I was a kid time sometimes actually crawled and special events like Christmas and birthdays seemed to only come around every decade or so.

Not any more.  I grew up and grew older. Suddenly, summer lasts about 24 hours.  I get up one summer morning with plans to spend the next few weeks gardening and blogging and seeing friends. But when I get up the next morning, summer is over and all I got done was a load of laundry and the elimination of a few weeds. Christmas, and even worse birthdays, show up every few weeks.

Of course I can’t remember my passwords!  I’m out of breath trying to keep up with the speeding of time. Where can I find a complaint card to fill out?
